Now chiefly remembered as the editor of the first posthumous collections of Emily Dickinson’s poetry, Todd also wrote and published a novel, travel memoirs, popular works on astronomy, and volumes of her own poetry. She led the establishment of a number of community institutions including the Amherst Historical Society, the Mary Mattoon chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Amherst Woman’s Club as well as other local and regional clubs related to writing, theater, and music.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eEighteen paintings and the manuscript of “A Sunset Idyl and Other Poems” by E.
